Description: The Libertad Club, one of the most prestige institutions in Trujillo, is in charge to organize the National Marinera Contest. In November of 1960, took place the first edition of this festival that has become an event of national importance; it includes, a series of parallel activities like the famous Celebration of the Perol, in the Libertad Club, the Festival of Peñas Criollas, the contest "Champion of Champions" of Peruvian Paso Horses, and others activities.
